Our exquisitely manicured golf course is managed and maintained by a staff of industry leading professionals who strive to deliver superior service. History

When Joe Lee designed the golf course at Horseshoe Bend Country Club in 1974, he envisioned a championship course that would one day host some of the most prestigious events in golf history. This grand course built on sandy bottom land along the bend on the Chattahoochee River has been the backdrop for the major tournaments it was designed for: The PGA Champions Tour and The AJGA Rolex Tournament of Champions saw a young Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson compete.

In 2011, renowned golf course architect Bob Cupp reworked the original design creating an exciting, yet challenging, 18 holes of marvelous golf for our members of all skill levels. With four holes along the historic Chattahoochee River and over 2 miles of scenic river frontage, the natural beauty throughout the course has been enhanced with lakes, streams and dramatic water features nestled amidst lush hardwoods lining the rolling hills and fairways.

The redesign featured new Champion bermudagrass greens, TifGrand approaches, zoysia tees, bunkers, cart paths, and a state of the art irrigation system. The addition of a fifth set of zoysia tees now has the course playing at 7,100 yards from the tips. The new bunkers utilize the patented Better Billy Bunker method. This enhanced construction technology will keep our beautiful white sand, the same as Augusta National, pristine and well drained.

A new putting green and driving range were added to the practice facilities which also includes an engaging short game area. New locker rooms and The Far Turn, our halfway house for refreshments, enhance the golf experience.

Programs

Horseshoe Bend Country Club designs a full tournament schedule for men, women, couples, as well as junior golfers. Our tournament program is crafted towards all levels of play with couples events, Ladies Interclub Team Play, Club Championships, and our highly anticipated annual Men's Member-Guest Tournament.

The well trained professional staff offers ladies and junior clinics, multi-day schools, as well as individual instruction to enhance the enjoyment of the game for all players. Our junior golf program utilizes SNAG and U.S. Kids Golf programming to engage children of all ages.
