Tennis
Horseshoe Bend CC opened in 1974 and gained prominence in the tennis community in the early 1990’s when it was selected as the site of the AT&T Challenge where tennis stars Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras, and Michael Chang competed. HBCC tennis received another boost following an expansive transformation of the tennis facilities in 2015. That year the United States Tennis Association (USTA) recognized the new facility with their Outstanding Facility Award!
Today, the Horseshoe Bend CC facility offers 13 full-size outdoor courts, with 7 Deco Cushion hard courts and 6 clay courts, 2 of which are European red clay! In addition to these courts HBCC offers the Pickleball Paddock, three regulation pickleball courts! Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the country, and the HBCC membership has shown great interest in this fast-paced game!
The Horseshoe Bend CC Tennis Facilities are managed by Universal Tennis Management (UTM), a nationally recognized leader in Tennis Management and Instruction.
Adult Programs
At Horseshoe Bend Country Club we take pride in offering an elite adult program to players of all levels. This combined with the many social events create the perfect mix of structured programming and casual play. UTM offers a full list of Adult Programs including Beginner Clinics, morning adult clinics and leagues, Monday Men's night and Friday night tennis social; there is certainly something for everyone to enjoy.
Junior Academy
The Junior Academy at Horseshoe Bend Country Club turns learning into fun. These programs focus on the development of the junior player set in an exciting environment.
Universal Tennis Academy (UTA) has a reputation of coaching elite junior players. The UTA Junior Academy offers a clear progression through the program allowing both the child athlete(s) and the parents to see the development plan for each player. Each program "bridges" to the next ensuring all players develop both technically, and tactically. Most all programs are taught in a lively action filled session establishing a sound foundation and love for the game.
Future Stars
This is an introductory program for our littlest beginner athlete's, ages 3 and 4, focusing on basic strokes and motor skills. It's an important program to a proper beginning of developing the players skill set at the onset.
6 and Under
The 6 and Under program is designed to teach children rudimentary skills, coordination, and basic tennis stroke production. It's an important program to a proper beginning of developing the players skill set at the onset. We emphasize FUN and fundamentals. The Red Dot ball is used for this program.
10 and Under
The 10 and Under program introduces tennis to players 7 - 10 to the game and reinforces skills to those children who have previously been enrolled. This program teaches children advanced motor skills, coordination, tennis court awareness, basic tennis strokes and game situations using fun, modern techniques with just the right sized equipment (orange dot balls) and courts (60' court) to allow children to experience a great deal of success. At this stage, players begin to develop court awareness and begin to refine their skills needed to start competing.
Competitive
The Competitive program focuses on technique and development of each player with an emphasis on reaching goals. Junior's will sharpen their skills through consistently executing technique, footwork, movement, tactics and strategy with an emphasis toward tournament play, and to assist those who seek to play competitively whether middle/high school teams or a push toward college tennis. The UTA coaches at Horseshoe Bend Country Club are experienced professionals dedicated to developing each and every player to their maximum potential. This program is designed for players ages 11 - 14. A combination of green dot balls and regular balls will be used for this group.
High School
The High School program is designed for 14 - 18 year olds with an intermediate to advanced skill level. This program focuses on technique and development of each player with an emphasis on reaching goals. Junior's will sharpen their skills through consistently executing technique, footwork, movement, tactics and strategy with an emphasis toward tournament play, and to assist those who seek to play competitively on high school teams or a push toward college tennis. The UTA coaches at Horseshoe Bend Country Club are experienced professionals dedicated to developing each and every player to their maximum potential.

Horseshoe Bend CC Tennis leagues and events are widely known and a distinguished amenity of the Club. ALTA and USTA teams at all levels call Horseshoe Bend CC home court. Our highly regarded Member/Guest, Club Championships and USTA sanctioned tournaments, afford every member an opportunity to play no matter their skill level.
